If you've come to this page I'm going to assume you believe in or are interested in the phenomena of past lives. Advanced Spiritual Hypnosis will work beautifully for exploring lives, your relationships in them and for clearing out negative cellular memories. blessings Nicky Stewart
Past Life Regression
Past life regression is typically undertaken either in pursuit of a spiritual experience, or in a psycho-therapeutic setting. It is is a technique that uses hypnosis to recover what practitioners believe are memories of past lives or incarnations.
Wikipedia describes that the technique 'involves the subject answering a series of questions while hypnotized to reveal identity and events of alleged past lives'.
Wikipedia also offers a subtle but important warning 'The use of hypnosis and suggestive questions makes the subject particularly likely to hold distorted or false memories'. Unethical or unskilled therapists often use suggestive questioning.
So what does distorted or false memories mean? Let me give you an example where Hypnosis is used in a Forensic investigation to obtain key answers required to prosecute.
It is very important that the technician ask no suggestive questions. The technician must guide the client to the scene and then stand back and allow the scene to unfold. Initially the only question that should be asked is 'what's happening now'.
As the client begins to describe the scene the client may at some point start to mention other individuals. A leading question would be 'what does he look like'. No one knows, other than the client, if the individual is a man or woman. By asking this (leading) question the technician is implying that the individual was a he... so the client will start looking for a he and will start creating a false memory to match the request. A more appropriate non-lending question would be 'when you look at this individual tell me what you see'.
Because I operate a client-centered practice, I will ask the subconscious mind to take you back to the event you would like to experience. The subconscious knows where to go. I will give appropriate time for the so called 'landing'. My first question will be 'where are you?' This is so important because the answer may be a place so unlike earth. The next question is 'look down at yourself and tell me what you see?' Allowing adequate time for the subconscious mind to explore is the key to success.
